SVS is BACK!

Hi friends! Updating and bringing my website a fresh new look has been in the works for months now. I have really wanted to reconnect with you guys in so many new ways. First let me update you on what has been going on.

In winter of 2019, my husband retired from the Army and we settled in Alabama for his next job. We were SO lucky that he was able to step into an amazing job with a new to us amazing company before he even was officially retired. The transition was as smooth as smooth could be. Having spent 27 years in the Army prior to retirement, I have shared many times that retiring felt like jumping off a cliff and praying the parachute would open. Well I am happy to say that our parachute opened beautifully and sailed us so gently into retirement.

So much so, I wasn’t stressed about getting my small business back up and running. I gave myself time to enjoy life and really settle into our forever home. Then about year into retirement, just as we were making lots of plans to travel with hubby’s new job, COVID happened. So my world changed again. But honestly I can’t complain. COVID gave my family lots of together time (which we truly do love), and brought my adult kids and their significant others home. Home for a lot longer time periods than we would have ever gotten before COVID. I was really loving having the house full again. So much so, we decided to fill it up with a few more. Well not more kids per-say, but PUPPIES!

We added our first new puppy Maddie (English Springer Spaniel puppy) in May of 2020. Then our daughter who was working completely remotely added a new Golden Retriever, Sadie to the family in July 2020. Two puppies in the house for the summer of 2020 meant, I had no desire to jumpstart my business yet again.

My son and his girlfriend added a rescue puppy, Brady to their family in Sept 2020. Although my son and daughter were not living here with us full time, we did get a lot of time together as everyone was working or doing school remotely. In January, after being sick for months our 12 year old Yorkie, Luna passed away from a heart murmur and collapsing trachea. Well we decided we needed one more puppy.

SO in came Abbie in March of 2021. Abbie is also an English Springer Spaniel puppy. We were happy and training puppies and everyone was doing so well. Fast forward to April 2021 and we found out that Abbie’s brother, Blaze from her litter needed a new home. We tried to help find him a good home, and due to the circumstances, decided to just take him in as well, thinking we would find him a new home.

Well Abbie and Blaze hit it off like they hadn’t just spent 5 weeks in different homes. And seeing them together was so fun. They bonded again quickly and Blaze won us all over. Needless to say I am the proud owner of 3 Springers, and I don’t regret a minute of it.

Well I do believe my story began to tell you why it’s been so long since I have done anything with SVS. Well having spent the better part of the last 2 years puppy training, I am finally finding time to create and be creative again. And it was just time to jump in with two feet. All through this time, I continued to explore digital art and learn. I have been a student of lots of different classes for Adobe, Procreate, social media, business, and more. All the while, I have been creating and developing more and more digital art. Finding that everything I love to create definitely has a beachy vibe and it’s really my niche.

SO…all that to say, I’m back. And I will be creating digital art, and hopefully eventually begin to place this art on items to sale. My first shop planned is a Sticker Shop. Be sure to go check out my new art Portfolio. I have divided up all the different types of art I create. And I look forward to adding more and more to it as I go.

Thanks for stopping by!

Pam
