Where It Began

Citrus Breeze began during a trip to Southern California. While we were visiting Orange County, I found myself inspired by the citrus trees, bright flowers, and fresh coastal colors all around us. I already had a favorite color palette in mind, one I call Spring Garden, and it became the perfect foundation for the collection. I sketched many of the first ideas on my iPad during quiet moments throughout the trip. One of my favorite things about working digitally is being able to capture an idea while it’s still fresh.

Citrus Breeze has remained one of my favorite collections, largely because of its cheerful color palette. If you browse through my work, you’ll probably notice hints of these same colors appearing again and again. They’re shades I naturally return to because they feel light, relaxed, and full of joy. The watercolor brushes I used for this collection are also among my favorites in Procreate, and they’ve become part of my creative process in many collections since. I hope Citrus Breeze brings the same feeling of sunshine, fresh air, and relaxed coastal living into your home that inspired me while creating it.
